MARLBORO SHOW AND BOARD MEETING REPORT
Our March 30th Show at Marlboro, MA was a busy one, with all 66 tables being sold. If you want a table in the future please let Bill know well in advance so arrangements can be made to rent additional tables! We can fit in another 5 tables but will need advanced notice. The crowd was one of the best in quite a while, over 300 with 143 non-members paying admission. As usual the Show Raffle had many items donated by Members, which brought in $243.00 for the club, Thanks to all, with special thanks to Elaine Pappas and Kelly Carlson for posting notices in area community event calendars and Web Forums. The Club made $1,610.57 on the show. Another GREAT SHOW put on by the CAIN’S, don’t forget to thank them again for all of their efforts.
A BOARD MEETING was held after the Marlboro Show with the following items discussed in addition to previous minutes and Treasurers report.
The Club Finances were the major topic at hand. A detailed report was given by Moe covering the years 2002 to present. All State and Federal taxes have been filed for those years. The board accepted resignations from long time board members Marc & Caroline Levine.
The Annual Show was discussed with the Show being sold out for some time now and a waiting list started.. Moe Legare and Norm Bardsley are doing a super job in planning and coordinating this event. The Annual raffle is progressing nicely. Moe has collected over $1,000.00 so far. Don’t forget to sell or buy you tickets, you can’t win one of these beautiful knives if you don’t!
Advertising is going well with additional ads being placed in Blade Magazine and Knife World for the Annual Show. Check them out, they are GREAT.
The East Windsor Show February 3rd went well with 46 tables being filled with members displays. The attendance was better than usual with around 60 non-members paying admission plus members for about 200 total. The club made $1172.07 profit on this event. Our Photographer for the show had a melt down of his Computer with most of the pictures that he took being lost. Everyone seemed to have a good time, you should have seen Myron Tupa with his Dad’s Firefighter Uniform on, not to mention his great display.
