President's Report - ARTHUR GREEN
Our last show was held in Marlboro, MA on the 13th of November. As usual this venue continues to be a very popular event, almost every table was filled with all things that cut. Not bad for a Summer Show!
THANKS AGAIN to Linda & her daughters Lynn and Becky for facilitating another nice event for the members and general public attending this show.
Linda & Lynn remind us to book early for the next Marlboro show scheduled for February 12, 2012. Don’t assume you have a table, so call Linda (978) 544-5348 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve tables.
A regular Board Meeting was held after the show. In addition to the Treasurers and Clerks report, several issues were discussed and voted upon including the following: The Board voted to continue looking into having a show in New Hampshire in 2012, Moe will be researching a location when time permits. The possibility of having a 50/50 raffle at the annual show was approved pending working out the details. Lastly, Larry Clifford gave his report on the Annual Show, table reservations are coming in steadily but the show has not sold out as of yet with a reminder that 2011 exhibitors will have until January 31st 2012 to pay for their tables. After this date all remaining tables will be sold on a first come basis to those on a waiting list.
January News Letters will be mailed out the second week of January and will include the Annual Show raffle tickets. This year the tickets will be $5.00 each. This change will save the club a considerable amount of money in printing and mailing costs as well as better reflecting the value of the great donations.
